Washington is one of the most diverse states, with anything from mountains to forests to waterfalls. It can be overwhelming, I get it. That’s why I created this guide of the best places to elope in Washington!
On the Coast
You can pretty much find anything in Olympic National Park. Beaches, forests, mountains, waterfalls, you name it. There truly is a place for everyone here. Starting with one of my favorites:

Washington beaches aren’t your typical sandy beaches, they offer unique terrain and moody sunsets. My favorite thing to do here is walk along the water and search for gems. You’ll find birds wandering the area which makes another fun activity. Ruby Beach is one of the best locations to elope!
If you’re dreaming of a beachy elopement with rugged scenery, this spot is for you. Driftwood, tidepools, and pretty sunsets are all you find here. Think just you two, the waves crashing, and the sunset creating magic. This is the perfect choice if you’re craving an intimate, slow paced elopement day.
Best time to elope here: May-October

Along with Ruby Beach, Rialto Beach is another coastline favorite. This one has a famous “Hole-in-the-Wall” rock arch that makes the perfect framing photo. Can’t choose which beach to elope at? Don’t worry, we can go to both!
Best time to elope here: May-October
You can’t get more PNW than the Hoh Rainforest. Moss covered trees, sunlight peaking through, green all around, this is the perfect spot if you’re dreaming of a dreamy fairytale elopement.
Hurricane Ridge has stunning mountaintop views for miles on end with alpine meadows all around. If you’re craving all things mountain for your elopement, this is just the spot. It’s easily accessible by car and is best to elope here during the months of May-September.
Closer to Seattle

Growing up in Washington, Mount Rainier is clearly my favorite mountain. Maybe i’m biased, but I truly can’t get enough of it. Looking out my window on a warm summer day, skies are blue, and seeing a glimpse of Mount Rainier is something I’ll forever cherish.
This is one of the most popular spots to elope in Washington. You can’t beat the mountain views and wildflowers during the summer time. There are so many trail options to choose from, making it a very diverse area to find exactly what you are looking for. The best time to elope here would be in the months of late Spring to early Fall.
More specifically, here are some great spots to choose for an elopement on Mount Rainier:
Just 30 minutes from Seattle, you can find some stunning places to have an intimate elopement in these two spots. You can find some easy accessible locations here, which is my personal favorite type of location!

Mount Si is another mountain that has tons of options for those wanting that stunning mountain backdrop. With easy drive up locations, you can create a quick but whimsical elopement day.
Best time to elope here: May- October
At the top os Snoqualmie Pass, you’ll find Gold Creek Pond, an easy mile trail with stunning views of the pond and the mountains!
Snoqualmie Falls is one of the most popular locations to see in Washington! It’s super easy to get to and has stunning viewpoints of the overflowing waterfall.
Franklin Falls is another stunning waterfall that’s easy to get to! With a short trail walk, you get to the base of the falls which calls for beautiful photos!
